International Union of the Servite Family— United States of America (UNIFAS-USA).

HISTORY AND PURPOSE

UNIFAS-USA was established on 16 September 1995 as a national branch
of the International Union of the Servite Family (UNIFAS), founded in
Rome on 4 May 1987 to express, foster, and promote communion and
cooperation within the Servite Family throughout the world.

The purpose of UNIFAS-USA is to carry out the mission of UNIFAS
nationally, uniting the efforts of Servites in the United States to those of
their sisters and brothers worldwide. Members of UNIFAS-USA share a
common commitment to evangelical and apostolic life, while expressing it
in a diversity of lifestyles: lay and religious, active and contemplative.
United in a deep communion of faith and love, they are committed to
sharing with all around them a spirit of mutuality and a dedication to
Mary, mother of Jesus, the common bond of Servites everywhere.
